What "Be the Light" Means to Us

When we stitched "BE THE LIGHT" into our first label, it wasn't a marketing decision. It was a promise.

The phrase comes from Matthew 5:14 — "You are the light of the world." For us, that scripture isn't just something we read on Sunday mornings. It's a daily call to action. It shapes how we design, how we source, and how we show up for the people who wear our clothes.

Being the light means making choices that reflect something greater than ourselves. It means choosing organic cotton over cheaper alternatives. It means paying fair prices, even when the margin gets tight. It means building something that lasts — not just the garments, but the values behind them.

Every time someone puts on a Solmaris piece, we hope they feel that intention. Not in a preachy way, but in the quiet confidence of knowing that what you're wearing was made with purpose.

Be the light isn't just our motto. It's our compass.
