Solmaris pieces are designed to get better with age. A little care goes a long way in preserving their character.
Cotton & Cotton Blends
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle
- Tumble dry low or hang dry — we prefer hang drying for longevity
- Iron on medium heat if needed, or embrace the natural texture
- Avoid bleach — the sun-washed look is already built in
Linen
- Machine wash cold or hand wash
- Hang dry for best results — linen loves air
- Wrinkles are part of linen’s character; iron only if you prefer a crisp look
- Linen softens beautifully with every wash — no fabric softener needed
Wool & Wool Blends
- Hand wash in cool water or use a wool-safe machine cycle
- Lay flat to dry — never hang wet wool
- Store folded, not on hangers, to maintain shape
- Use a garment brush to refresh between washes
Canvas & Heavy Cotton
- Spot clean when possible to preserve the patina
- Machine wash cold when needed, inside out
- Air dry — canvas develops beautiful character over time
- Do not dry clean
